Weight: 65kg
Exercise regimen: I train at the gym and play basketball once a week. During each gym session, I exercise my shoulders, back, chest, biceps and triceps. To strengthen my abs, I hang from the pull-up bar and raise my legs up to 90 degrees. I do that about 45 times.
Diet: I love to eat. I eat practically everything. My normal meals are double cheeseburgers and char siew rice. My diet tip is to stay off carbo after 7pm.
Owen Chong, 21. NSF
Height: 1.73m
Weight: 78kg
Exercise regimen: I work out at least four times a week in the gym. Sometimes I try new and refreshing outdoor sports like wakeboarding, diving and rock climbing. Weights form the main part of my training programme. I hardly do cardio nowadays because it takes up a lot of time.
Diet: I have to keep my diet in check constantly. I try to eat healthy most of the time by packing home-prepared food to work. It is usually a balanced portion of starches, meat, eggs and salad. I divide my meals into at least five portions a day. Whenever I eat out, I try to go for the healthy food. But, once in a while, I indulge in KFC.

a slow and potentially boring video …. unless you are a mechanical engineer who is intrigued by design . pardon the slow speaking old guy from cambridge.
Stephen Hawking has made his way back to Cambridge after participating in the launch of the LHC to unveil an unbelievable new clock at Corpus Christi College. Designer John Taylor intended the clock to be “terrifying,” saying that he views time as “as not on your side.” In his words, time will “eat up every minute of your life, and as soon as one has gone he’s salivating for the next.” Dubbed as the “strangest clock in the word,” the Corpus clock features a time-devouring grasshopper at its top that moves around the face one second at a time. As it moves, the 60 slits cut into its face light up to show the time.
It took a team of eight engineers and craftsman five years to mold the clock, and it is expected to last another 25 years on its current electric motor. “Conventional clocks with hands are boring,” Taylor admits. “I wanted to make timekeeping interesting.” Mission accomplished, my friend. It’s hard to imagine that something so sinister looking could have come out of the mind of that harmless looking older gentleman in the video. I mean, he made his fortune developing the kettle thermostat, for crying out loud. [Guardian and BBC News via Gizmodo]

one of my major complaints (just a few) of the iphone is the camera is not able to take clear macro pictures. i usually use it to capture text, serial number or namecard etc without having to key it in. but it is often too blur to be usable on the iphone camera.
Griffin actually came out with a case that has a lens cover that will make the macro pictures sharper …. they claim “Slide Clarifi’s lens into place and you can move in to 4 inches for crisp detail and great pictures.”
i must say apple’s limitation and restriction is giving a lot of vendors chances to innovate.

i am impressed not because it looks good, but because it is so simple and so innovative and green. it uses chamber designed to channel the sound from the bottom of the iphone out amplified. meaning no speakers, no electricity no moving parts … nothing. is like how gramaphone or seashells work. read more after the pics below.

on tue when i stayed at home to work i felt terrible. not because i stayed at home but because i had lots of work but spent my time mostly on my iphone. yesterday i went to office i and felt much better being more productive.
after work i also had personal training in the gym. this time it was dramatic and a real torture. firstly my trainer did not turn up. so i was about to leave (i know i can work out on my own, but reason why i got a PT is cause i lack the discipline). then one manager came to me and said sorry, didnt know why my PT wasnt around and offered to get another trainer for me.
i declined and said i will try contacting my PT. after another 10mins, this time the assistant master trainer came and introduced himself and said he will take my PT class for the day. well i was thinking why not … until we started. the feeling was like back in army, getting tortured. ”don’t show me that face, give me 10 more pushups ….” am in severe body pain right now while typing this.
but i guess i did pay to be tortured. and i am kind of like in happy pain … coming from a SM masochistic bottom. no pain no gain.
but half way through the training, the trainer started to tell me they he will replace my subsequent training and was hinting that it was not the first time my original trainer was missing in action (MIA). but i felt bad for my original trainer and was trying to delay it and say i will talk to him first. might have been my own fault and miscommunicated my training session.
any case he finally responded to my SMS and said that he had family problems and was not able to turn up. well sounds fishy but i can give him benefit of the doubt. but now i do have a problem deciding if i should take the opportunity to change to a more dominant torturer and risk losing interest or to stay with my more friendly trainer that gives me a work out but without pushing me really that hard.
decisions again ….

was wasting my life yesterday just playing around with the iphone. but i must say the iphone ROCKS!!!!
apps that i have on it now are:
1. Quickgold …. ala spotlight on the iphone, great for launching apps and searching contacts
2. SwrilyMMS … sending MMS works. catch US$8 to buy after trial.
3. Intelliscreen … makes the locked screen so much more useful. catch US$19 after trial.
4. BiteSMS … the forward and delete function is just so integrated, apple should have done it first round. the international SMS at 12 sg cents is also good value.
5. SBS Iris … a web app that i will show me when is the next bus arriving at the bus stop …. works for all bus stops and and SBS buses in SG.
well … and i also have spore orgins (the game) …. amoung many other games ….
bloody good reason to upgrade to 3G?
